Theresa M. King, DC

As a young adult, Theresa M. King suffered from constant severe headaches that significantly affected her quality of life. When more than two years of conventional medical methods brought no relief, she decided to try chiropractic care. With a course of treatment the severity and frequency of her pain began to decrease until she was free of her headaches.

Her profound experience led her to Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR to pursue a Doctorate of Chiropractic so she could share the benefits she had experienced with others.
Dr. King has nearly 16 years experience as the owner of a full time chiropractic practice. She utilizes a number of different adjustive techniques, (such as drop table), and therapies to tailor each treatment to a person's individual needs.

She is also skilled in a gentle technique called CranioSacral Therapy (CST) which is a light-touch approach for children and adults that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole body health and performance.

Dr. King's patients include infants, children and teens, as well as adults including the elderly. She sees patients at all stages of pregnancy. Offering quality care in a comfortable environment is her topmost priority.

Dr. King holds a Bachelors of Science/Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. She has worked as a clinician and lab instructor and as a student mentor at Western States Chiropractic Clinic as well as an instructor of Dental Assisting and Office Management for vocational schools.

She has lived in the Portland area since 1978. She is active in her SE community, including participation on an Advisory Board at Clackamas Community College and is a member of the Foster Neighborhood Business Association. Dr. King loves to camp, hike and explore the Great Northwest.

Currently, Dr. King is pursuing further education in obtaining a post-graduate degree to earn a Diplomate degree from the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI).

The 300+ hour Chiropractic Family Practice Diplomate Program teaches evaluation, diagnosis, management and treatment of Cardiovascular Disease, Pediatrics, Spirometry and Pulmonary Disease, Geriatrics, Urinary Disorders, Immunology and Allergy, Peripheral Disease, Malignancy, AIDS, and Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Disease while covering Multi-Channel Blood Chemistry, CBC, Thyroid, Tumor Markers, Blood Interpretation, EKG, Phonocardiograpphy and Phamacognosy/Herbal Therapy.

She is very interested in providing her patients who suffer from internal disorders alternative options to what traditional medicine is able to offer. Be sure to talk with Dr. King if you have any questions or concerns about your current diagnosis, lab results or treatment recommendations.
